Friends
There are harder things to do than get on Etude’s good side. Show her respect and she’ll consider you fine. Help someone out and she’ll think you’re a good person. Be overall a good person and Etude’ll probably get along with you just great.
She also loves sparring partners and otherwise rivals. She’s the sort that, if you’ve got a relationship like that with her, she’ll randomly challenge you to a duel. She’s not mind-blowingly good at banter, but in a similar note, she likes to have heated arguments about all sorts of things.
Close friends are fewer in number, but those she can speak to deeply are important to her. She also appreciates those who will fight alongside her and are strong enough that she doesn’t need to worry about them.

Foes
Welcome outlaws! If you’ve got a negative name for yourself, Etude probably already places you in this category. Though that doesn’t necessarily mean she hates all outlaws or ne'er do wellers. Little makes Etude happier than a worthy foe. Etude can often relate to or, at least understand, those with worthy causes, but if they’re the sort to cause pain just for the fun of it, Etude’s not going to like them very much at all.
Much like friendly rivalries, Etude will make "unfriendly rivalries", so to speak. if the person in question is strong enough to be a challenge to earn her respect, she'll begin to treat them with more.
In general, those who act in a way that could be considered “bad” will often end up an enemy in some shade of grey. It’s usually not hard to climb out of this category, as Etude is quite forgiving to those who regret their actions.

Romance
There’s two sorts of people that would make a good pair with Etude: someone who could help her settle down/be someone to return to, or the opposite; someone who will go into difficult battles with her and is strong enough to not get themselves killed. Etude needs to grow close to someone before she’ll consider a romance, but if you join one with her, you’ve got a very devoted and protective and very loud partner.
Other
Etude fought against the teams with her trainer, who also had some other pokemon. They could have been with the same trainer, or perhaps, if they were with one of the teams, Etude fought against them.
Etude doesn’t have any of her own kids, but she loves children enough that she will 100% adopt them.
She also would make for a good mentor or trainer.
In the past 50 years she may have made a team that’s been semi-disbanded, but was at its height, say, 20-ish years ago?
