Eeeey, Ninjie up in here just dropping some mighty muse before it disappears.I was thinking some other rolls can be highlighted if they have more canon rolls.
First, I think Shopkeepers should expand to 2 more slots for the Ignis town and Rebirth Village. Especially the sooner because I doubt Keclio wants to go all up in Star Madness land and New Leaf doesn't want them coming there. Plus, it allows for people who need to do things ICly like move tutoring to do it with more than one person in case they are swamped/not responsive.
Second thing I thought about was implementing the dreaded rescue team mechanic to guild members, dungeoneers, and maybe even gangs and squads for the outlaws and tribes. Why? The biggest reason is more people working together in a dungeon= less dungeon mod threads being created without limiting how many dungeons can be out at one time. The second reason is that teamwork is a big thing in both Mystery Dungeon and rping, so rewarding people for roleplaying together OOCly and characters for working together ICly makes sense, no? So what I'm thinking looks like this;
Normal Rank: Starting rank. Does not allow you to form a rescue team.
Bronze Rank: Requires 3 dungeon threads where you work together with another character+ 1 event thread with at least one member of your potential team. Allows a rescue team of up to 3 members.
Silver Rank: Requires another 2 dungeon threads+ 1 event thread with at least 3 members of the team. Allows up to 5 members.
Gold Rank: Capstone rank for gangs and squads. Requires 2 more dungeon threads WITH AT LEAST 1/2 RESCUE TEAM MEMBERS+ 1 event thread with at least 1/2 members. Allows up to 7 members.
Platinum Rank: Requires 2 more dungeon threads with at least 1/2 rescue team members + 1 event thread with at least 1/2 members. Allows up to 9 members.
Diamond Rank: Requires 3 more dungeon threads with ALL rescue team members + 2 event threads with ALL members. Allows up to 10 members + the ability to purchase a mini tab in the guild for your rescue team at 500,000 stardust.
So you are probably thinking that the capstone rank is crazy, but if you think about it, it is pretty intense qualifications to get there. It requires you to have done 12 dungeon threads using teamwork and witnessed 6 site events to get there, then your rescue team need to have earned 500,000 stardust worth of roleplaying to actually purchase the "item". At that point, its very clear that this team is a dedicated team to the site and they probably deserve their own tab. Besides making people be a constant presence at the site, I also added the event thread requirement so it would be easier to upgrade ranks in wave rather than upgrade Billy's slowpoke squad today and the ratchet rescue team tomorrow and the likes.
Now you may be asking, "but what if I'm trying to do a group dungeon and one of my partners/ my only partner suddenly disappears?
Well I bring you this:
Infection Name: Fleeing Sneeze
Illness Type: A type of allergy caused by a fairly common weed's spores called the Escape Poppy
History: A fast spreading plant has evolved to spread even further by tapping into the teleportation abilities of various items and moves.
Cure: It eventually goes away, but is incurable. Can be caught repeatedly.
Symptoms: This hardy plant can grow nearly anywhere. It disguises itself as a budding flower in forest areas or a mushroom in aquatic and cave areas. When a pokemon gets in a 3 foot radius of the plant, it explodes into spores that can easily be inhaled and cause sneezing. The sneezing somehow triggers a pokemon's means of teleportation via move, escape orb, or any other form. If the pokemon does not have a way of escaping, they will constantly and relentlessly sneeze rendering the infected nearly incapable of anything else, usually during the whole duration of the dungeon (or when the MIA player gets back).
Stages:Its nearly instantaneous and lasts until the sinus is completely clear of the spore or the pokemon is sent to a new area for it to spread.
Survival Odds: 100% survival rate...unless you catch it in a precarious situation.
Basically this is an "infection" that allows a mod to move a dungeon along after a player has left it hanging and its on the verge of dying.
Finally, I thought of some rolls for the factions to add, hence the terrible reference/pun in the title.
-I was thinking that the tribe could have something to contrast with the warrior, like a shaman. The role of this pokemon could be to pass on lore and tradition and lead celebrations. (Everything is better with a Rafiki character).
-To contrast with the Creed's Hunters could be the Harvesters. I feel like it makes sense that one of the biggest villages that also has the most infamous infection has to have a character that gave it enough of a good reputation. These characters find those who have been infected/ have nothing else to do with their lives and convince them that its a totally good idea to get infected. They also help them transition through the stages and find footing within Ingis town as it is a huge place that is terribly hard to get into if you don't have a purpose. Came to mind after I made Cadence's character and she was casted as a hunter because her kind of character doesn't fit much into it.
-The Creed could also have something like a coliseum and have gladiator tournaments. Who doesn't love a good bloodsport? I've got plenty of ideas but I don't want to make this any longer, so PM me for details.
-Lastly, and my personal favorite, a canon pirate crew. Yup, you heard me. Since this whole thing takes place on an island, the first thing that came to mind was outlaws+surrounded by water= pirates paradise. How they work is they are aquatic pokemon who kidnap pokemon who stray too far from the shoreline and hold them captive for goods/stardust. There is a radioactive whirlpool caused by a comet that fell into a geyser not too far from their base and they threaten to dump the hostage into it if they don't pay up. Again, this is getting pretty long so PM for deets.
And yeah, thats all the fleshed out ideas that Ninjieplushie has come up with.
