Appearance
Kagitsun boasts a fit frame, a bit bigger than average and a little thin perhaps, but well built, though it's obviously seen quite a few beatings. While not bulky or heavily muscled, his form is athletic in style, and sturdy throughout. His frame is very agile and flexible, and the way he moves is very light, almost cat like. His manner of walking and how he holds himself is very graceful, and he is quite light on his feet. His tail is long, and his features very fine, handsome even, if his eyes weren't so distant and cold. His face rarely holds an expression, a mask of calm indifference, and his body language speaks of a solitary person who cares to remain that way. His black fur is marked by scars, and it's easy to tell he is not the normal umbreon due to his brilliant blue rings and piercing yellow eyes. His only apparel is a black bandana that is a bit tattered and worn, but he always keeps on him. It originally belonged to his father, and he had given it to his mate as a gift, and now wears it to remind himself of both of them.
Personality
Kagitsun is loner, silent and distant. To some, he seems cold, to others, uncaring. Neither is entirely true, but his demeaner certainly gives that impression of such. He has the seen a little too much, done a little too much sort of air about him, and he tends to be offputting and unfriendly without meaning to. By nature he is actually quite inquisitive, and sensitive, though he has always been a little quiet. But growing up has made him a little harsher, and has forced him to toughen up and keep his curious and sensitive side to himself. He stays solitary, and tends to cut his ties when they get too deep, keeping himself in isolation.
History
One thing Kagitsun learned fast. Being different isn't good. The shiny eevee got no end of misery for his colors, and his curiousity didn't help him. He quickly learned to avoid strangers, and more than once he nearly got killed. His father looked after him as best he could, but with his mother gone, he could only do his best. The espeon was a good father, but when the illness came, he fell victim to the madness. Terrified, the young eevee spent many long months alone, untrusting of strangers and fearful of the deadly plague they spread. He learned you had to be quick on your feet and stealthy if you wanted to stay alive. Food was also scarce for the lone eevee, and thieving was the only way for a loner to survive in the dark where no stars shined.
The problem with thieving is that thieves sometimes get caught. Yet desperation will drive one to survive no matter the cost. Kagitsun was no exception. And one time, it happened he couldn't escape either. Trapped by a spiritomb, the grey eevee was forced to fight for his life. When the eevee came out on top, he was changed by the kill, the bloodied and weary warrior not the same desperate cub scavenging for scraps as he had been before.
Shortly following that, Kagitsun sought out the Bloodmoon pools, and touching the great meteor that lay there, the eevee was transformed into an umbreon, the process painfully but swift as the dark night beheld his new form. An umbreon with blue rings that glowed, striking a sort of awe and fear into those lurking in the night. And he was merciless.
They say the first kill is the easiest. Perhaps that is true. Certainly, after that first night, there were several other deaths at his paws, and he went from the scared and weak eevee starving for scraps to the hardened and cold umbreon who struck fear into his opponents. His survival habits continued, turning criminal. Yet despite all of this, there was one who still saw the goodness in him. And he felt affections toward him as well. His partner was a good hearted espeon, who loved Kagitsun for himself. With his partner, Kagitsun slowly became a better person, becoming more and more the pokemon he used to be, before he lost his father to the madness. Inquisitive, and playful, his sensitive and warm side came back around his partner. They settled down, Kagitsun stopping his ceaseless wandering to be with his partner. Then the members of a group who had lost a member and much of their pride and things to Kagitsun found him. They attacked them both, and trapped, Kagitsun's vicious side kicked back in. At the end, they were all slain, but his partner also lay fallen in silence. Mourning the espeon, Kagitsun closed himself off again, losing any care for himself and the world. A vicious lone criminal, the only time he relaxes the façade he's put up is when in his solitary wanderings far from other pokemon or in the dungeons where he wanders and fights simply for the pleasure of fighting. If one never opens yourself up, then one cannot be hurt.
