Appearance
The most striking feature one might notice is Kobold's eyes. Growing up eating primarily diamonds his early life, the eyes that he formed ended up being pure diamond, giving off a faint white glow in the darkness. His small body is littered with scars from the most recent years, and some of the gems on his back have scratches and chips. However, he seems most protective of the gem on his chest and the gems of his eyes. As such, they have remained shiny and smooth, yet they can also be his weakness as he moves to defend them above all else.
The gem on his chest begins to tingle/hurt whenever he senses danger.

Personality
Despite his age, Kobold has not grown up one bit. This goblin was spoiled since he hatched, and this has lead him to never maturing the way he should have. He was used to having everything provided to him on a silver platter, but since those days are gone, he has had to cope in his own ways. This means he has resorted to thievery, and he's gotten pretty damn good at it, if he does say so himself. A possessive little goblin, he has never learned to properly share anything. If it's in his hands, it is automatically marked as his. Hand him a toy? His. Hand him your precious item? His. You want it back? Nah. He runs off and hides whatever he took, usually by digging into the dirt and burying it much like that of a dog. Sometimes, he will eat it. Why not? Obviously that scarf goes into his stomach.
A childish Sableye to the bone, close inspection will show that some of his mannerisms are almost like that of a pet. Besides his kleptomania and possessive acts towards anything that obviously isn't his, Kobold has a tendency to play around with... everything and everyone. He can find amusement in the slightest of things, even if it's a stick he picked up or an empty bottle someone handed him. His imagination is boundless, and anyone watching over him will know that he can make up the most preposterous worlds and games with nothing more than his claws and a pile of dirt. Other pet-like tendencies involve a strange adoration with being picked up, even if it's by another Pokemon. He's perfectly fine with having anything around his neck, and his dependency on others is sometimes a bit much. After all, he was spoiled while he was still with his dear human. Having to do everything himself, even after so many decades, is just absurd to him.
An excitable, affectionate creature, it can sometimes be hard to see why he allowed himself to be labeled as an outlaw. He craves physical contact, even if it's just him rubbing his cheek against another's. Even the slightest act of affection or accepted affection can keep him calm, and it can drastically change how he views another Pokemon. If they reject him, chances are he will not want anything to do with them. Though there are times when he was just try harder to be accepted, even if be reluctance. Being rejected, however, is something he fears. It creates a knot in his stomach that refuses to loosen for quite a while, and it can quickly make the Sableye depressive. While saying he would refuse to eat would probably be nice for any jewel merchants, it will cause him to act more unruly and gluttonous. Sometimes, this is a good way to motivate him since he will make himself think that doing whatever it is you want him to do will make you like him.
He is very gullible in that sense, but it also makes him extremely loyal once he finds someone he truly wants the approval of. He will do whatever they ask of him, be it criminal acts or something as simple as cleaning up after them.

History
Kobold was hatched by a young heiress who wanted nothing more than a pet to keep her company. While a Sableye originally was not something she had in mind, she quickly grew attached to the little dual type. She spoiled him rotten, providing him with only the best that money could buy. It was expensive just keeping him fed, but her family owned a diamond mine in the Kalos region. This allowed his diet to be made up mainly of the hard gemstones, which he devoured with relative ease as his teeth grew sharper and harder to accommodate the diamonds. Every now and again, he would sneak into the room of his master's mother and eat her jewelry, but he considered those to be a snack. He stopped after a while since his dear master would get angry at him and refuse to provide him with hugs.
When his master's parents passed on, everything was left to his dear master. Yet, she was no longer just his. She had to marry if she was to keep everything as that was the final will of her father. He would wait and wait at home until she would come back from blind dates and courting sessions, and one day she finally brought back a man, one of high standing. Kobold despised him. He was taking away his master, and he would not stand for it! He started pulling pranks on the man, hoping to drive him off one way or another. However, it became clear that he was not budging. He stopped once he saw how happy his master was with the stranger. Begrudgingly, he allowed the two to marry.
Soon enough, there were two additions to the family: a pair of female twins. Kobold was highly interested in the infants, and he would sneak into their room at night and watch them sleeping in their cribs. As they became more mobile, he was beginning to rethink this whole child thing. They would grab at him and tug on his ears. They would try to pull the gems off his back, and they would try to climb on his back. Yet, they never seemed afraid of him. As they grew, he grew more attached to them, even to the point where his own master was jealous of the attention he gave them. He played with them day in and day out. They would play hide and seek together, and Kobold would allow them to tie ribbons around him. He would even sleep in their room, sometimes in their bed. When they started school, he began to follow them to and from school, but this habit only started once they came home with bruises and scrapes from a bully. Using his natural charm, he easily scared off the bullies when they tried to pick on them after school.
Their happy days soon came to an end as all channels seemed to only play the same story: Team Rocket and Team Galactic storming the beach of a distant region. They huddled together in front of the television, watching the broadcast. The Sableye tensed up as the gem on his chest began to tingle, and his natural grin turned into a dark frown as he held onto the twins. Yet, his world went dark within a flash. When he came to, he was on the island that he had been watching on the news. His humans were no where to be found. He was lost; he was alone. The Sableye completely shut down, not knowing what he should do. The world was extremely dark, and he could only see due to being a cave-dwelling Pokemon. His eyes gave of a pure white glow, and this drew some nearby Pokemon to him. They managed to bring him out of his mind in order to question him, but all he could say was, I don't know. They were at a loss.
He stayed with this small group of Pokemon for a while. They learned to survive together, and they even taught their faint source of light how to fight since Kobold never had a need to fight unless he was warding off bullies. One member of the group suggested that they steal for food, and, while Kobold would need more than just a few berries to survive, he was eager to please his new 'family'. This family ended up betraying him after two decades of traveling together, and Kobold found himself battered, bruised, and once more alone. He nursed himself back to health, and he became more protective of the few gemstones on his body that had yet to be tarnished with scratches. Kobold continued what he had been doing, going from place to place and stealing what he needs to survive. There was a point when he thought it would be a good idea to settle down, but he already had a bounty on his head. With the amount of stones he had stolen over the years, he would never be able to pay off his bounty for a clean slate.
