Appearance
Orpheus doesn't really take more after one or the other parent; he is an almost a perfect blend of the two. His body is made up of sleek and soft black furs, but the ghostly gasses that cling to his being radiates various blues, greens, and purples. Their are various casings of gold that are melded with his body; two bands of gold run around his legs and ears in the form of rings, a streak of gold wraps around his neck and flows down his back, and his paws are coated with gold. The only gold that isn't a part of his body is the gold mask upon his face. It has red circles underneath his equally red and large eyes and a smile carved in for the mouth. He never takes the mask off. What lies underneath it remains a mystery.
Adorned on Orpheus' left ear and neck are two golden masks. Their features and expressions are typically very dull, but under certain circumstances they are capable of opening their "eyes"; making facial expressions; and even moaning, sighing, and yawning. Two tendrils sprout from each of the mask. They are able to form into hands that have a powerful grip and are capable of pulling the soul from one's body. They glitter with the stardust that Orphpeus loves to collect. Combined with his haze ability, it can create an uncanny similarity to a starry sky.

Personality
Like his appearance, Orpheus' personality is a blend of compulsions from both of his bloodlines, though they lean slightly more towards Cofagrigus than Sylveon. Both have strong compulsions to lure people in and hold them with their tendrils, though their intentions couldn't be any more different. The Cofagrigus side wishes to pull the soul from the target's body and leave them a passionless husk (a mummy, in other words), though Orpheus consider's himself a gentleman and rarely ever does it, even in battle. When he does, he is always sure to give it back. Another conflict his Sylveon' sense of selflessness and Cofagrigus' greed and hoarding tendencies. Gold and precious jewels mean very little to him, but he is quite the miser when it comes to stardust and desires payment in stardust for any help or service he offers. However he understands that a dungeoneer does things out of kindness before payment and does not request it. Anything outside of dungeoneering, however, is expected. Do not screw him over on payment. You don't want to make a ghost angry.
Speaking of which, Orpheus is unusually hostile around other ghost pokemon. Whether its because Cofagrigus tend to be territorial or if its some bad blood with his mother from his history is uncertain. Regardless, his dislike of them is clear, and it usually leads to a battle. Its one of the few things that are clear with Orpheus; the mask on his face hides any sort of emotional expression in his face and he rarely ever talks. When he does, it certainly isn't anything about himself. Its even quite rare to ever see Orpheus as he spends most of his days in the deep underground and rarely walks rebirth village at night. For the longest, his existence before joining the guild consisted of stories of sightings and glimpses of his glittering tendrils. is a bit of an enigma to all, whether he means to be or not. Its quite fortunate that he has chosen to be on the "good" side.

History
Whatever caused a Sylveon and Cofagrigus to come together was highly unlikely to be a loving union. Its anyone's guess to how it happened, but it was likely that his father met an unfortunate fate to the ghoulish hands of his mother. As for his mother, she wasn't much of a presence in his life. When he had hatched, she had left him a temple filled with all the treasure anyone could ever want, but being more to his eevee half, all he ever wanted was the affection of his parents. Orhpeus ended up growing alone and he was nearly an adult before he learned to maneuver the temple's mazes and traps all the way to the exit.
Wandering alone in the deep dungeons with nothing to live for, Orpheus came across another mutant, who also happened to be a dungeoneer. She was a cross between a druggigon and a swoobat; powerful and intimidating, but kind and affectionate nontheless. She was quite the chatty one, and immediately took it upon herself to befriend him. Even among other mutants they were outcasts because of their intimidating appearance. In the end, she was the one who saw him through the path of rebirth, taught him to resist his darker temptations, and taught him the code he lives by today. Her life ended quite tragically after a standard dungeon mission was suddenly interrupted by a violent earthquake. In her honor, he took it upon himself to become a dungeoneer, as he knew that is what his friend wanted of him. Still, he tends to do things in a solo fashion.
